Use Twitter to increase sales

Interesting post on techcrunch about how Dell is offering exclusive discounts to its Twitter followers.
Dell has found a way to use Twitter to generate sales. In December InternetNews reported that Dell has produced $1 million in revenue over the past year and a half through sale alerts via Twitter. People who sign up to follow Dell on Twitter receive messages when discounted products are available the company’s Home Outlet Store. They can click over to purchase the product or forward the information to others.

Dell has now taken its Twitter campaign to a new level but offering discounts exclusively to the 11,844 people who follow @DellOutlet . For instance, here is a Tweet with a link to save 20% on Outlet Latitude™ XT tablet PC. When you click on the link, it takes you to this product page on Dell.com.
The new marketing program was, launched on Monday and of course was announced on Twitter, as well as on this Direct2Dell blog post
Beginning today, Dell will offer deals from the Dell Outlet exclusive to Twitter in the U.S. With over 11,000 followers, our team wanted to show their thanks to the Twitter world through these new deals which will continue each week.
@DellOutlet now has over 15,000 followers who are receiving these marketing messages from Dell. So while Twitter is trying to figure out how to make money from its service, it is interesting to see that Dell recognizes that Twitter is a marketing channel, and more importantly, it is a channel that can increase revenues.

Mobile marketing-Best in todays time
at 4:49 AM Posted by Heena Mehta

Hey friends one of my friends opened up a restaurant just a few months ago but it did not grab as much attention as we expected in a month and that is when we had to decide about the marketing strategies that would work for him? What would be the best way to introduce his restaurant to the citizens and to attract them in this thorough competitive market. After a detailed research we came up with the idea and the best option of mobile marketing and thus got I touch with this mobile marketing company called as Advanced Telecom Services, Inc. which is a leading provider of interactive voice response (IVR) services, newspaper voice personals, and text message solutions. They operate the 84444.com which helped us with the mobile coupons marketing strategy.
Mobile coupons are a message that is sent to the recipients with a unique code which informs them about any bonuses like discounts or incentives or free invitations. Thus my friend to sent out discount coupons for his restaurant and believe me as suggested we did it during lunch hours and dinner time so that they think of us as an option to visit right away, and not to boost but it worked sooner than thought, that evening we had relatively good number of customers than usual..
Believe me anyone of you who knows anyone who needs this help or anyone who wishes to increase their profits and customer base must visit them as they offer varied services along with mobile coupons and that is database marketing, short codes and much more. So do visit this site and let me know your views.
